13 Reasons You Need Rewatch Thekenan Kelhalloween Special Asap
It's hard to believe it's been 15 years since we first learned to be terrified of any town known as 'Rockville.' The ' Kenan & Kel ' TV movie, known as ' Two Heads Are Better Than None ,' both entertained and scared kids back in the day.
This was the final episode of ' Kenan & Kel ,' which aired as a one-hour TV flick way back when. And all the main cast starred in it, except for Dan Frischman , who played Rigby's manager Chris Potter.
Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell dealt with headless knights, a monkey who plays the piano and one couple that really, really loved ketchup. We recently rewatched the ~spooky~ movie (and it's still pretty creepy, TBH) and rounded up our favorite parts that made this one of the best Halloween specials ever. Awww, here it goes!
- Kenan's hair
Nickeldeon
Uh, can he please bring this hairstyle back on ' SNL '? No, but really. It's amazing.
- Chimperace, the piano-playing monkey
Nickelodeon
After playing a rousing rendition of 'Chopsticks,' Kel asked Chimperace to play 'Superstition' by Stevie Wonder. Yep, you read that correctly. While the music was playing, a horde of people started an impromptu dance session . It's not nearly as magical as the dance scene in ' Good Burger ,' but it's still pretty great.
- Roger Rockmore's surprisingly beautiful singing voice
Nickelodeon
Yeah, Kel's face was our face when we first heard Roger (Ken Foree) 'sing.' Kenan summed it up best when he said, 'It was just extremely freaky.'
- Finding severed heads
Nickelodeon
Nothing like mixing decapitated heads with children's programming, amirite?!
- The orange soda song
Nickelodeon
Kel sang everyone's least favorite car ride jam, '99 Bottles of Beer,' except he changed beer to orange soda (duh) and changed 99 to 1 million. Of course, after singing the song all the way through, he decided to stop at 11 bottles, claiming, 'I'm tired of that song.' Had I been in that car, I would've killed him.
- ' The Hills Have Eyes ' dude
Nickelodeon
Michael Berryman , who played Pluto in the original version of Wes Craven's 'The Hills Have Eyes,' had a small-yet-important role as Chives the butler. He helped kidnap and behead unlucky strangers staying at the house with Kenan and Kel.
- Toast Ghost stories http://slimypitofsin.tumblr.com/post/29621529891/toast-stories
There were so many things wrong with this moment, and yet, so many things right.
- Eyelid-less Bethel
Nickelodeon
Bethel (Sonje Fortag) was Arthur's (Time Winters) maid. She was apparently born without any eyelids and was 'very self-conscious,' according to Arthur.
- Arthur's leaking neck
Nickelodeon
Since Arthur was the (SPOILER) Headless Knight, his neck started to leak after he took a drink of water. Looked like it was time to find a new, sturdier head. Gross.
- When the World's Biggest Ball of String went rogue
Nickelodeon
Naturally, this screw-up was Kel's fault because he just 'had to hug' the giant ball of string, causing it to fall off its pedestal and run amuck.
- This. Moment. Right. Here.
Nickelodeon
That slow scream deserved an award like nobody's business. ?
- When the Shellys kicked some major ass
Nickelodeon
OK but for real, where in God's name did those moves come from? The Shellys were this goofy couple that were so obnoxiously happy, you couldn't help but love 'em. Yet, their crazy fighting skills were definitely a surprise. Maybe it was all that ketchup they ate?
- And, when this, uh, iconic moment happened
Nickelodeon
What was even happening here?!
Happy Halloween! And remember, STAY AWAY FROM ROCKVILLE.
