Ariana Grande Concert Rocked Explosion
Ariana Grande ’s concert at England’s Manchester Arena on Monday (May 22) ended in a mass emergency evacuation after a fatal explosion believed to be a terrorist attack.
On Tuesday morning (May 23), Manchester police announced that they'd taken into custody a man suspected to be involved in the bombing. The suicide attacker himself was later identified as Salman Ramadan Abedi, 22, who lived in the Fallowfield suburb of Manchester.
Following news of the explosion on Monday night, emergency services rushed to the arena. Fan-shot footage shows the frightening scene inside the venue, which holds up to 21,000 people.
Grande issued a brief statement on Twitter late Monday night, writing , 'broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don't have words.' BIA, who opened for Grande at the Manchester concert, tweeted a prayer for everybody to get home safely.
