After two years of 'hiking,' 'sipping tea' and 'hiding in the forests,' Carly picked up right where she left off with 'Call Me Maybe,' delivering an '80s throwback up-beat track, much like the songs on her 2012 album Kiss, that will most likely secure its place on the top of the charts.

The pop star made her first appearance in support of her new single on 'Good Morning America' on Monday (March 2) performing the song for the very first time.

Afterwards, she revealed a few details about the upcoming video for the track, which stars Justin Bieber and Tom Hanks helping her take over the streets of New York City.

'It's a great combo,' she said of her co-stars. 'We love the idea of Tom taking over for our video and Justin was in town and he was like, 'I'm going to come down' and I'm like, 'You should -- The more the merrier.'

'He kind of offered,' she said of Tom. 'It's a strange, long story.'
