Emma Watson Divulges Details Topless Kiss Inharry Potter
That headline is not a misprint. Emma Watson and one of her ' Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 ' costars did indeed ditch their tops and lube up in silver paint for a 'full-on,' steamy snogging session in the new PG-13-rated film. The only thing more shocking than just how racy the scene is for a 'Potter' movie might be the identity of Watson's on-screen make-out partner.
SPOILER ALERT! Stop reading right now if you don't want details about a certain scene from the film. But if curiosity has gotten the better of you, head to the jump for the scoop.
OK, that's out of the way; now on to the good stuff. The scene in question occurs fairly late in 'Deathly Hallows: Part 1' when Ron ( Rupert Grint ) comes face to face with the visualization of his worst fear: Harry ( Daniel Radcliffe ) and Hermione (Watson) engaged in a fierce and -- yes -- tastefully semi-nude make-out session. Of course, as any diehard 'Potter' fan knows, the visual isn't real; it's a fantastical rendering created by one of the Horcruxes to keep Ron from destroying it. But just because the snog wasn't real in the 'Harry Potter' world, doesn't mean that Watson and Radcliffe were off the hook from filming it.
'It is full-on,' Watson said of the scene -- for which she wore a strapless bra -- while speaking to MTV News at the film's London junket. 'Actually, I forgot how full-on it was until I saw the movie, and I was like, 'Blimey, where did that come from?' It was really full-on.'
So was it weird for Watson to swap spit with Radcliffe, whom she's known for 10 years and has frequently said is like a brother to her?
'It was only the day before that they said, 'Oh, by the way, we hope it's all right, but we want you to be topless, and we're going to cover you in silver paint,'' Watson laughed. 'It was awkward enough as it was without the silver paint and the strapless bra, but whatever. It works. It looks good for the story.'
If you're one of the loyalists who's been patiently waiting for Ron and Hermione to get it on, don't worry -- their time will come when 'Deathly Hallows: Part 2' bows on July 15. Of filming that kissing scene, Watson told MTV last year: 'I ended up pouncing on Rupert. I was so desperate to get it over. After the first take, he was like, 'Whoa, there! Where did that come from?' I was like, 'Sorry!''
Are you surprised that Watson and Radcliffe share a kiss in 'Deathly Hallows,' even if it is in a fantasy sequence... or did the book give you an ample heads-up? Tell us in the comments!
