Fifth Harmony Defend Little Mix Over Provocative Comments
There’s nothing but love between Fifth Harmony and Little Mix .
Sure, some people love to pit the two groups against each other, but 5H’s Normani Kordei and Ally Brooke had only glowing things to say about the Brit band in a new interview with Official Charts . Specifically, they were asked to comment on Little Mix’s recent X Factor performance of Shout Out To My Ex, after which the group faced some negative comments about dressing too provocatively.
Oh, it was fabulous! They sounded fabulous, they were fabulous, they are fabulous! Ally gushed.
Normani dug a little deeper about facing similar criticism in the past, saying, It definitely makes me query as to where we are in the world right now, though. We definitely do get [criticism] sometimes. I remember when the ‘Work From [Home]’ video came out and people had a bunch to say.
We’re women and we want to embrace that, so whatever makes us feel good, she continued. We work really hard every single day and we want that to be seen, and we want to be confident. If I want to wear shorts or a crop top, that doesn’t necessarily make [me] a slut. It just means I’m confident in my body because I work really hard for it!
PREACH, ‘mani. These girls — all nine of them in both bands — will wear whatever they want, and they are NOT here for your negative comments.
