The Flash And Kid Flash Team Up In First Look At Flashpoint

Flash Kid Flash Team Up First Look Flashpoint

Even Flashpoint can't keep Barry Allen and Iris West apart.

The CW released the first photos from the Season 3 premiere of The Flash , titled 'Flashpoint.' Based on a popular comic book arc, 'Flashpoint' finds Barry in the alternate timeline he inadvertently created when he ran back in time to save his mother in the Season 2 finale. Unbeknownst to him, he may have even created an alternate Flash.

In this timeline, Keiynan Lonsdale's Wally West now goes by the superhero moniker Kid Flash , and he'll make his official debut as the kid speedster in the Season 3 premiere. However, it's still unclear whether Kid Flash exists solely in the Flashpoint timeline — or if the second particle accelerator explosion Harrison Wells created in Season 2 gave Wally his newfound speed.

As for Barry and Iris, the speedster's actions in the final moments of the second season really messed things up for the lifelong friends. But it looks like even an alternate timeline can't keep Barry and Iris away from each other. Just look at the chemistry radiating between WestAllen in the Season 3 premiere:

The third season premiere will also mark the return of Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) a.k.a. Reverse-Flash in a recurring role in Season 3. However, after taking down his nemesis in the Season 2 finale, Mr. Thawne is now thoroughly behind bars. (But who knows how long that will last.)

Finally, here's our official first look at the Allen family. All Barry ever wanted was a way to save his mom from her terrible fate, and while we know the events of Flashpoint won't span the entire season, at least we'll get to see the Allens be happy for a few episodes.

Alas, all good things must come to an end — but not before Barry gets at least one family selfie with Nora and Henry.
