Game Reminds Us About That Drake
Drake has been previewing a new verse about the uglier side of success while performing dates on his Jungle Tour, and now we get to hear the full thing on Game's track '100.'
In addition to holding down the chorus ('Ya’ll better not come to my studio with that fake sh-t), Drizzy gives us some truth about the less glamorous side of fame.
'I would have so many friends if I didn’t have money, success, and accomplishments, he spits. I would have so many friends if I held back the truth and I just gave out compliments/ I would have all of your fans if I didn’t go pop and I stayed on some conscious sh-t/ Man, I would have so many more friends if I lost my respect and my confidence.
Game also makes a few interesting references on the track, citing some advice from Dr. Dre, mentioning Lil Wayne and Birdman's falling out, and even reminding us about that Drake and Diddy altercation , rapping, 'Heard about the sh-t with Diddy, so I came through to vest you up.'
Funny enough, that dispute allegedly stemmed from a disagreement over the beat for Drake's hit '0 to 100.'
Game and Drizzy were recently spotted filming a video for '100' out in L.A. , so we'll likely see the final product soon. The song will appear on Game's upcoming album The Documentary 2 .
