Game Thrones Might Recast Myrcella
With 'Game of Thrones' season four having ended June 15, everybody has already moved on to their second favorite activity (the first being actually watching 'Game of Thrones') — figuring out the casting for next season!
We're already rounded up a list of the characters we book readers want to see during 2015's season five (though we forgot to add 'zombie Oberyn Martell'), but now it looks like an old familiar face might be in need of a new actress — Aimee Richardson, who played Cersei and Jaime Lannister's middle child Myrcella back in the show's early seasons, is reportedly not returning for season five, per WinterIsComing .

Now, before you go ahead and say 'who cares?', know that ( MINOR BOOK SPOILERS AHEAD ) Myrcella rises to the forefront when some of the action moves to Oberyn's former home in Dorne next year. The last time we saw Joffrey's little sis she was headed for the sandy, southern land at Tyrion's behest, and it looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of her in the near future.
Why she needs to be recast is uncertain — Richardson is the right age for the role — but she wouldn't be the first Baratheon child to get the boot. Tommen was also recast when his role was expanded in season four, so it almost seems like the show just cast the original young actors as placeholders until the real deal were finally needed. Still, if the rumors are true (and they likely are), we have a few famous horses we'd like to see in the race

Ms. Free is the rumored choice for Myrcella, so this whole thing might already be set in stone. She's a 14-year-old British actress whose biggest credit is a role in a BBC TV movie called 'Mr. Stink.' Myrcella will be a pretty key character moving forward, given that she's the only person we will know down in Dorne, so it's crucial that they get the casting right — David Benioff and D.B. Weiss know this, so hopefully the relatively untested Free is the real deal.
Lorna already has a ton of experience on the small screen, as she's starred in the popular soap 'East Enders' since 2006. The 18-year-old would be a solid choice if they decided to skew a little bit older with Myrcella, since a much of her story in Dorne will reportedly revolve around her relationship with the Dornish Prince Trystan. The show cast the likes of Daenerys Targaryen and Robb Stark older than their on-the-page counterparts to avoid the ickiness of filming sexual scenes with underage actors, so it's very possible that they'll go this route with Myrcella as well.

Sinead is the only non-blonde on this list, but hey, Cersei is a brunette, too. She's also the option with the most genre street cred, given her role on the 'Doctor Who' spinoff 'The Sarah Jane Adventures.'

Windsor earned rave reviews for her heartbreaking performance as an abandoned child in the 2009 BAFTA-winning TV movie 'The Unloved,' and no one knows what it's like to be abandoned by one's family quite like Myrcella. She hasn't been seen in much since, but here's to hoping we see more of her.

Okay, okay, so this is just completely unattainable dream casting. Shipka will be far too busy with the final season of 'Mad Men' — a 'Thrones' timeslot and Emmy competitor — to visit Westeros. But she has the inherent likability and headstrong intelligence we need for Myrcella, and the thought of having Maisie Williams and Shipka together on the same show is just too exciting a prospect not to share. Can you imagine it, though? Can you?
