Heres Every22 Jump Streetaddress Real Life
By Kristy Puchko
In '22 Jump Street' , Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are back in action, and setting up an undercover shop across the street from the Korean church from the first film. And wouldn't you know it, their new address happens to be a Vietnamese church!
This got us wondering about what might exist at real 22 Jump Streets across America.
The bad news is: none of them house tank top-sporting Channing Tatum, or an insult-slinging Ice Cube. The good news: we've uncovered some fun facts about what they do boast.
The 22 Jump Street of Bucyrus, Ohio is part of a residential neighborhood, facing a large field that would be perfect for a sculpture park or a spectacular and climactic chase scene. This small town calls itself 'The Bratwurst Capital of America' because of its annual Bratwurst festival, held every August.
In the Eastern Panhandle region of West Virginia lies Martinsburg. Its 22 Jump Street is just a hop, skip and a jump from where the Patsy Cline biopic 'Sweet Dreams' was shot back in 1985. The drama about the iconic country singer's personal triumph's and tragedies nearly won Jessica Lange and Academy Award for Best Actress.
Immokalee, Florida's 22 Jump Street is a private residence with palm trees out front. Though it now seems a lovely place, Immokalee got negative notice in 1960 when legendary newsman Edward R. Murrow exposed the terrible working conditions on its local farms for a special report called, 'Harvest of Shame.'
As the name of its town would suggest, the 22 Jump Street of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida lies right on the water. But despite having a movie title within its city limits, Santa Rosa Beach doesn't have a movie theater of its own. The nearest one is a 9-minute drive from 22 Jump Street to the next town over, Miramar Beach.
Wichita, Kansas is not only the biggest city holding a 22 Jump Street, but also the largest city in Kansas. Its 22 Jump Street sits in a densely populated residential area of 'The Air Capital of The World,' so-called because Wichita is hub for U.S. aircraft production. More to the interests of the movie's heroes (and us), Wichita is also the home of the first ever Pizza Hut restaurant.
'22 Jump Street' opens June 13.
