Here's How Carol's Cookies Just Became The Deadliest Weapon On 'The Walking Dead'

Heres How Carols Cookies Just Became Deadliest Weapon Onthe Walking Dead

Did you need further evidence that Carol is the biggest ' Walking Dead ' badass of them all? That should no longer be a question after last night's episode, which proved once and for all why the silver-haired mama bear should top everyone's list as the most feared member of the Rick Grimes Gang.

In the episode, called 'Forget,' the newest residents of Alexandria make their grand debut during a dinner party. Drinks are had, laughs are shared, finger-foods are consumed, there's even an epic meltdown or two… it's an eventful night. But the biggest event happens a few doors down the street from the dinner party.

Earlier in the day, a secret cabal of Rick, Daryl and Carol agree that they need to get their hands on a stash of guns, just in case all hell ever breaks loose in Alexandria, and they need to make a quick escape. They decide that the dinner party is the perfect occasion to sneak away and take some guns from the arsenal, but who should play the role of thief? As the new sheriff in town, Rick is too high-profile to step away, and all eyes are on Daryl because he's such an obvious outsider.

Carol figures that she's perfect for the job; with her sunny disposition and her even sunnier new wardrobe, Carol blends right into Alexandria's domestic groove. For the first time in a long time, she's invisible. Who wouldn't trust the smiling woman in the flowery blouse?

As it turns out, Carol isn't entirely invisible, because she makes the best cookies in Alexandria (that secret applesauce ingredient will get you every time!), and a young little boy named Sam simply can't get enough — so much so that after the cookies run out, Sam leaves the party and follows Carol, hoping she can bake him a fresh batch. Instead, he catches her in the act of stealing a bag filled with 9MM handguns. Carol promises that she'll make him all the cookies he wants, just as long as he doesn't tell anyone what he's seen.

'But I have to tell my mom,' says Sam. 'I tell my mom everything .'

With that, Carol tells Sam everything — everything he needs to hear to make an easy, no-brainer decision:

'You can never tell anyone, especially your mom,' she says. 'Because if you do, one morning you'll wake up, and you won't be in your bed.'

'You'll be outside the walls, far, far away, tied to a tree,' she continues. 'And you'll scream and scream because you'll be so afraid. No one will come to help because no one will hear you. Well, some thing will hear you. The monsters will come — the ones out there. And you won't be able to run away when they come for you. They will tear you apart and eat you up all while you're still alive. All while you can still feel it.'

' Or ,' she offers, 'you can promise not to ever tell anyone what you saw here, and then nothing will happen — and you'll get cookies. Lots of cookies!'

Has the promise of cookies ever sounded more threatening? I think not. And that's why Carol Peletier is the most dangerous character on 'The Walking Dead.' Whether it's a sniper rifle or a tray of baked goods in her hands, everything she possesses is a potential instrument of destruction.

Moral of the story? All fear Carol, the 'Walking Dead' cookie monster!
