Listen up, all ye news-hungry citizens of Panem: Alma Coin might just be in the house (er, District 13 bunker rather) at long last!

Yep, 'The Hunger Games' franchise continues its tradition of reaping impressively credentialed talent for its supporting roles with the possible addition of Julianne Moore as that complex and ice-cold rebel leader for the two 'Mockingjay' installments.

Per The Hollywood Reporter , talks are 'early' for the four-time Oscar nominee to join at this time, but if they are successful, she'll step into the franchise for its biggest opening left ... a character which is meaty and, as her name indicates, a touch two-faced as well.

Readers will well know that Coin figures prominently into the final book of the trilogy, running a very tight underground ship of rebels just waiting for their opportunity to strike back at the Capitol after many dormant years and dethrone the ironically rose-fragranced President Snow ( Donald Sutherland ) once and for all.

Coin's, um, motives in sending our heroes — Katniss ( Jennifer Lawrence ), Peeta ( Josh Hutcherson ), Gale ( Liam Hemsworth ), Haymitch ( Woody Harrelson ) and Finnick ( Sam Claflin ) — on what is essentially a suicide mission, but also the nation's best shot at true revolution, are complicated to say the least ... as is her relationship with our heroine.

Interestingly enough, there's no need to wonder how tributes across the web-o-sphere would feel about the decision to cast Moore because they've already discussed this possibility at length by way of their collective and totally on-point 'Campaigning for Coin' series . In short: the consensus seems to be that while she's not necessarily the tippy top or most obvious choice for all of them, there's also no doubt she'd bring something interesting to the table if reaped for the role. (It's worth noting that other fan favorites for the part have included Helen Mirren, Cate Blanchette, Tilda Swinton, Sigourney Weaver and Glenn Close 'cause man alive we tributes have some high expectations.)

As for our reaction, we'll let J.Law handle it ...
