Kendrick Lamar And J. Cole Celebrate ‘Black Friday’ With New Remixes

Now that Black Friday technically begins on Thanksgiving Day, the two 'holidays' (or one holiday and one one huge economy-boosting retail creation) have sort of become one gigantic celebration of food, family, heavily discounted electronic goods -- and apparently brand-new hip-hop creations.

Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole celebrated the occasion by each dropping a new track called 'Black Friday' that features each one freestyling over the other's song.

First up, Kendrick's 'Black Friday' finds K. Dot rapping over the Vinylz-produced beat from ' A Tale of 2 Citiez ,' the fifth track on J. Cole's 2014 Forest Hills Drive album from last year.

Cole then gave thanks for such a gift by sharing his own remix of Kendrick's ' Alright ,' one of the most supercharged songs (and videos) from this year's To Pimp A Butterfly .

Kendrick and Cole have performed together in the past, notably at Madison Square Garden in 2014. That's where they got this pretty rad photo snapped together on stage, which I must now go print out on an expensive card stock and find an appropriate frame for. Excuse me.
