Mummy Seriously Cannot Seem Kill Tom Cruise Crazy First Trailer
Tom Cruise has scaled 100-foot buildings, climbed dangerous rock-faces, dangled from moving airplanes during takeoff, plunged 120 feet into nothingness , and held his breath underwater for more than six minutes — all in the name of his art. But in The Mummy , Cruise does some of his most death-defying stuntwork yet.
No. Seriously. No matter how hard this film tries to kill Cruise with plane crashes, explosions, bus crashes, and a crazy-ass ancient mummy princess out for vengeance, Cruise just will not die. In fact, even when he does seemingly plummet to his death in the first full-length trailer for The Mummy , he magically springs back to life in a morgue.
You just cannot kill Tom Cruise.

The original horror film was released in 1932, but The Mummy probably makes people think of the 1999 redux starring Brendan Fraser. However, Universal Pictures is now launching a shared universe of scary monster flicks — and Cruise's Mummy is kicking things off. The trailer even makes a promise to its modern audience: 'Welcome to a new world of gods — and monsters.'

The Mummy hits theaters June 9, 2017.
