If you take one listen to Big Sean and Ariana Grande' s new song 'Research,' you may start to think that there's trouble in paradise.

'Hell no, everything's good,' Big Sean told MTV News on Tuesday, while we flew with him in a private jet to his native Detroit to promote his latest LP Dark Sky Paradise .

The DJ Dahi and Metro Boomin-produced track appears as a bonus song on Sean's new album and finds the G.O.O.D. Music MC rapping about a suspicious lover, as Ariana plays detective. 'What you got to hide, lying next to me at night,' she sings with her breathy vocal tone.

Sean continues with the theme when he raps, 'But you're unlocking my cell, like you is a cop, how you decode/ All my v-mails, Gmails, even P.O. boxes got me p-o'd.'

Don't worry guys, the lovebirds are still going strong. Sean explained to MTV News that their new song is just a song. 'Well, that's why I like the record. I feel like it's cool to songs about your current situation, but I think it's cool -- I mean, me and Ariana been working together. We got a couple of songs together, so I wanted to do something different. I wanted to bring her into my world and I appreciate her for setting her situation aside and was a real artist about it,' he said.

ilha solitária, estou em um barco

It sounds like the couple had a fun time working on the tune and together they've crafted something that will surely be relatable to others.

'It's a real ass situation even though it's not real to our situation right now, it feels like everybody can relate to that. People going through your stuff and research and all that,' he said. 'That's the whole thing of the album, we wanted to keep the concepts what we go through, what people go through. As far as me and her's situation, our relationship, nah we aren't going through nothing like that.'
