With singer Steven Tyler still in a leg brace for the knee ligament he tore during an Alaskan concert last month, Aerosmith nevertheless plans to return to the stage at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, on June 29.

As we previously reported (see 'Aerosmith To Play Space Center ...' ), the band will perform at a private premiere party for the big-budget, effects-laden movie 'Armageddon,' in which Tyler's daughter, Liv, stars along with Bruce Davis and Ben Affleck.

Aerosmith has lobbed a song, 'I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing,' onto the film's soundtrack and Tyler told MTV News recently that a screening of the movie in-progress tugged at his fatherly heartstrings, motivating him to contribute the track.

'We got to see what they had of the movie so far,' Tyler said, 'and it was so exciting and so fantastic with all this stuff going on, especially where they put 'Sweet Emotion' in the film. Personally speaking,

I immediately fell in love with it. Then I saw that love scene with Ben Affleck and my daughter, and at the end -- I don't want to give it away -- but she starts crying and she yells, 'Daddy!' The tears started running down and I said, 'I'll do the song, I'll do the song.'' [500k QuickTime]

Aerosmith plans to resume its tour in mid-August.
